Disco Ball Lighting

Nothing acts as a symbol for the dance floor quite like a disco ball (AKA mirror ball). We combine the old school effect with the new school technology of intelligent lighting to create a variety of effects rather than just a single “steady-on” effect. Hundreds or thousands of small disco dots reflect off the disco ball when hit by the bright beams of light placed coming from our beam lights, each mounted strategically around the four corners of the dance floor in the above image (📸 Credit: Zhaun Frias Photography). Some photos and videos include haze or fog. The haze machine creates atmosphere that makes the reflection beam paths visible, creating a starburst look or glitter when used with gobo and prism effects.

Space Disco Lighting by Boston Event Lighting

Take your lighting to the next level and use a variety of disco balls. The above video features lighting by Boston Event Lighting Designer James Biller. The disco balls are hung in a Geodesic Dome (ask us about our Dome rental) symbolically to represent celestial bodies of our solar system: Mars, Saturn, and Neptune and the Sun. dot as seen above.

Disco Ball Lighting with Haze

Haze will take the disco ball lighting at your event to the next level. If added to your lighting package, haze or fog will create translucency in the air that shows the beam of each disco dot as seen above.
