กล้วยไม้ดิน สูงได้ถึง 80 ซม. ลำลูกกล้วยรูปกรวยคว่ำ กว้าง 2.5 ซม. สูง 5-6 ซม. ใบ รูปรีแกมหอก กว้าง 5-10 ซม ยาว 25-45 ซม. ดอก ออกเป็นช่อจากโคนต้น ยาว 40-70 ซม. ดอกบานเต็มที่กว้าง 4 ซม. กลีบเลี้ยงและกลีบดอกสีเหลืองอ่อน ปลายกลีบมีสีเขียวอ่อนๆ กลีบปากมีแถบสีแดงส้ม
Sympodial terrestrial orchid, stem erect with ovoidconical pseudobulbs, 5 - 6 cm long, 2.5 cm diam. across, up to 80 cm long. Leaves lanceolate-elliptic, 25 - 45 cm long, 5 - 10 cm wide. Inflorescence axillary near apex, erect 40 - 70 cm long. Flowers 4 - 5 cm across, sepals and petals yellow, with green tip, lip with red-orange tip.
พบตามป่าดิบเขาที่สูงจากระดับน้ำทะเล 1,000 เมตร ขึ้นไป ทางภาคเหนือและภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ออกดอกช่วง เดือนสิงหาคม-กันยายน
Tropical and temperate Asia: Evergreen forest at 1,000 - 1,200 m alt. in the north and northeast, blooming in August - September.
