OK Go Treadmill – Here It Goes Again

OK Go, Damian Lush, lead vocalist and guitar, Tim Nordwind, bass, Dan Konopka, drummer, and Andy Ross, keyboards and guitar, have made online history with their home made music video, “Here It Goes Again”, in which they dance on eight treadmills. The music video appears as a home-made version of Jonathan Glazer’s Jamiroquai music video “Virtual Insanity”, and reminiscent of Spike Jonze’s “Praise You”. “Here It Goes Again” has been accessed by millions of online viewers at YouTube Google Video, MTV, IFilm, Metacafe, TransBuddha, Ebaumsworld, and Yahoo Musi/a>. The video is being streamed in quicktime, Windows media and Real Video on the home page of OK Go themselves.

The music video was released online on July 31, 2006, and was viewed by over a million viewers at YouTube in the first six days. Here It Goes Again is looking likely to top the success of OK Go’s earlier runaway online music video success, “A Million Ways”, released on YouTube in November 2005. “A Million Ways” was choreographed and co-directed by Kulash’s sister, Trish Sie.

Lyrics for OK Go Here It Goes Again (Treadmill)

It could be ten, but then again,
I can’t remember half an hour since a quarter to four.
Throw on your clothes, the second side of Surfer Rosa,
and you leave me with my jaw on the floor.
Just when you think you’re in control,
just when you think you’ve got a hold,
just when you get on a roll,
here it goes, here it goes, here it goes again.

Oh, here it goes again.
I should have known,
should have known,
should have known again,
but here it goes again.
Oh, here it goes again.

It starts out easy,
something simple,
something sleazy,
something inching past the edge of the reserve.
Now through lines of the cheap venetian blinds your car is pulling off of the curb.
Just when you think you’re in control,
just when you think you’ve got a hold,
just when you get on a roll,
here it goes, here it goes, here it goes again.

Oh, here it goes again.
I should have known, should have known,
should have known again,
but here it goes again.
Oh, here it goes again.

I guess there’s got to be a break in the monotony
but Jesus, when it rains how it pours.
Throw on your clothes, the second side of Surfer Rosa,
and you leave me, yeah, you leave me.

Oh, here it goes, here it goes, here it goes again.
Oh here it goes again.
I should have known, should have known,
should have known again,
but here it goes again.

  1. One of the most original vids around. I have to agree with Maplekid. The lyrics make no sense… perhaps someone would like to elaborate on them…
