Description: 

With a stout, elongate stem carrying a few leathery, strap-shaped leaves that blooms in the spring and early summer on several, 3 branched, axillary, lateral to ascending, to 45 cm long, stiff, few to 20 flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate floral bracts.

Distribution:

China South-Central, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand.

Ecological:

In mixed evergreen forests on trees at elevations of 200-800 m as a medium sized, hot to warm growing, monopodial epiphyte.

Flowering times:

Blooms in the spring and early summer.

Flower size:

3.5 cm.

Cultivation:

Plant grows in moderate shade and cool to warm temperatures depending on the species. Pot plants in medium fir bark or sphagnum moss. Plants can also be mounted. Water when the potting media is just approaching dryness, but still a bit moist and never allow the potting media to become bone dry.
